im a noob to microcontrollers and got the avr pocket programmer to start on a tutorial and learn, and maybe make a terminator. but the driver folder had several files that were executable. i don’t know what any of them do, and when i tried to run them it said i needed to open it with a specific program. im trying to get this to work with my win7 laptop.

-
In the Device Manager, under “Other devices,” select “Unknown device”

Swtich to the “Driver” tab

Select “Update Driver…”
-
Select “Browse my computer for driver software”
-
Enter the folder that contains the drivers from the AVR Pocket Programmer page (Only select the folder, do not open the folder and select the files within)

-
Click “Install driver software anyway” when Windows explains it cannot verify the driver’s author.
