Postcard RTK - No Satellites After Update

Postcard RTK - No Satellites After Update

Hello, I had some issues with Bluetooth and had to update to v2.1 and the latest version of the LG290P a couple of times.
Bluetooth was restored, but now I can’t receive any satellites.
I’m using a cheap antenna, as I haven’t received the helical one yet, but it was working until yesterday.
How can I tell if it’s a problem with the antenna or the Postcard?
I want to clarify that I don’t have a second antenna.
Thanks.

Is there any LED that indicates whether the GNSS signal is arriving correctly?

Unfortunately no. Unlike every other GNSS receiver I’ve used, the LG290P blinks the PPS LED after power up and before any satellites are seen, so it cannot be used to diagnose satellites in view. I know you do not use the Portability Shield so the only other methods for monitoring GNSS signal is over Bluetooth or serial.

Thanks. I’m getting the helical antenna tomorrow, and I’ll see if the problem is my current cheap one. It’s possible the cable is broken. The sad thing is I don’t have another one to try. I’ll let you know if the problem is the antenna.

If I connect via USB serial, the NMEA messages are displayed on the screen, except for those related to the satellites, of course. So I assume it’s just an antenna issue.

It’s incredible, but coincidences happen.
My cheap antenna, which was working fine, broke right after the update. So the update wasn’t a factor in the satellite failure.
I wasn’t patient, so I disassembled my truck’s multimedia radio and removed its antenna gnss.
With this new antenna, the Postcard RTK connected instantly.
So, in conclusion, the cheap antenna is broken.
My helical antenna will arrive tomorrow, and I assume everything will work fine.
Best regards, everyone.

No problem! Thank you for coming back to report the solution.
