Powering LED strip lights with Meanwell Power supply

Hi everyone,

I’m trying to replicate this: https://learn.sparkfun.com/tutorials/me … -guide/all

but with a meanwell SE-1000-12. I wired it exactly the same as in the guide except I’m using an led controller off amazon instead of an arduino. When I power it on, the leds rapidly flash different colors and is not controllable with the controller. If I plug directly into the controller (Including power) it the LEDs work fine.

What am I doing wrong? Any theories or ideas to try?

Do you have the ground for your controller and the LED power supply connected together? If not, that could be your issue.
