This is a novice question. I am intending to connect a LSM9DS1 breakout to a board with has a 1.8V logic level using a logic level converter. The board only has 1.8V and 5V power rails. Is there an easy way of providing the 1.9V to 3.6V supply that LSM9SM1 breakout needs without a separate power supply? Thanks
You’re probably going to need a voltage regulator that drops your 5 volt supply down to 1.9-3.6. (I’d go with 3.3 volts since it’s a common voltage)
It’s kind of overkill for the application but [COM-00526 along with a few capacitors would do the job and you’d have a 3.3 volt supply in case you wanted to add other 3.3 volt parts later on.](Voltage Regulator - 3.3V - COM-00526 - SparkFun Electronics)
Thank you. That’s helpful and I’ve found I’ve already got one of those in one of your kits.
