Powering machine learning board

Hello, I’m looking at powering the machine learning carrier board via a 3.7V LiPo. It’s not clear how I should power it without using the USB port. One thing I was looking at is the 3V3 pin for the I2C bus. Will this work? Is it 5V tolerant? Is there another pin I should be using, or do I need to do this via the USB port? Thanks!

That board doesn’t have VIN broken-out, so you can either use USB or the 3v3 & GND holes here (same as using a qwiic connector) https://cdn.sparkfun.com/assets/learn_t … 2CGPIO.jpg

It is NOT 5v tolerant unless powered through USB https://cdn.sparkfun.com/assets/1/f/9/5 … ematic.pdf

You could also just use a portable battery pack that has usb output (many use lipos internally), or wire it with a voltage divider

That makes sense - thanks for the information!
