I have a project where I’m using a Redboard Artemis Nano, and I’d like to run it off battery power. I had a situation where I tried to use a 3.7V 1100mAh LiPo (Not one made by SparkFun, I have a picture attached below, if that will help) over the JST PH connector, and the board very quickly got hot, not working. I’ve been powering the board over the USB-C port connected to my computer instead, that works fine. I’d like to know if this is an issue with the battery not being compatible with the Redboard Nano, or if I need some other equipment. Can you power the board over the JST PH 2-pin connector with a LiPo, or does that connector only charge the LiPo? Thank you in advance for your help!
That battery appears to have reverse polarity for our Lipo connector (ours use + on the left when facing the board’s port, tab/slot up); like so
You could try swapping the terminal pins around or grab a different battery with matching polarity
How might I swap these terminals?
