PPS off of RTK Facet

I have an RTK Facet. I have configured it for PPS output on its data connection, and am looking at the Green Wire output on the Data Point.

I get something that seems to be not a PPS. It comes out once a second, but is… something else.

Any thoughts on how to make it a proper PPS? Configure the F9P?

Thanks

Hi @xPav,

That looks like serial data (NMEA and/or UBX). It will be output once per second too.

It looks like you have the correct option selected: “PPS Out/Event Trigger In”

Please try changing the setting again - and exit the menu. Do you still see the same thing on your oscilloscope?

You can find the new on-line product manual here:

Our RTK expert is out of the office today. He should be able to reply tomorrow.

Best wishes,

HI Paul,

If I change it to NMEA and back to PPS I get nothing on that line, it just stays high.

Switching to I2C and the ADC config changes the signal to what I presume is the right thing (but I didn’t look closely).

So it does work, mostly. after setting the port to NMEA and back to external trigger, I still had to go enable and configure the external trigger in the other port menu.

It however, requires one to go through the NMEA/external setting whenever the system is power cycled.

This sounds like a firmware issue. I hope to have a look later today.

I’ve moved this issue to the repo so we can track it: https://github.com/sparkfun/SparkFun_RT … issues/142

Hi @XPav - do you mind moving the conversation over to github (https://github.com/sparkfun/SparkFun_RT … issues/142)? If you are more comfortable here, that’s fine, let me know.

I cannot replicate your issue. As soon as I select PPS I start to see PPS signals on the green wire connected to the DATA port (black wire connected to logic analyzer ground):

Also, after a power cycle, the PPS continues as expected.

Please let me know what I can try differently.
