Pressure Sensor Mat

Hi peoples,

I’m looking to make a pressure sensor mat that is waterproof.

It needs to be about 500mm long, 300mm wide and thin.

The idea is to have this at the end of a swimming pool and when the swimmer presses the sensor, a signal is sent and a timer is stopped.

Any ideas or suggestions as to what the pressure mat could be would be extremely appreciated.
