problem with usb-c serial on MacOS

Hello,

I’m trying to connect the Sparkfun Edge device over the usb-c device (https://www.sparkfun.com/products/15096) on MacOS Catalina (version 10.15.4)

I followed the tutorial to install the driver given here: https://learn.sparkfun.com/tutorials/ho … 40-drivers

I can see the driver usbserial.kext is added to /Library/Extensions

However, after restarting I cannot see the device under /dev/cu*

Please help!

Have you tried multiple cables? There are some USB cables that for power but not data.

Hold down Shift+Control+Option+Power concurrently for a few seconds, when the light on the power adapter blinks or changes colors you’ll know SMC reset is complete. Release all keys at the same time.
