Purchase Qwiic equivalent sockets and plugs

Hello,

Your web page on Qwicc says I can use the system on my own boards, but must use the same style 4-pin connector, JST or equivalent. Can you advise me on manufacturers/suppliers of suitable sockets for PCB surface mounting, and mating plugs for cables. I am based in UK, so a supplier or distribution firm in UK, or Europe, would be best. Manufacturer part numbers would be helpful.

I have spent some time web searching myself, but just can’t seem to find the right parts.

Any assistance would be welcome. Thanks.

Thanks for reaching out to us on this.

We do not currently use UK or European suppliers for these parts; we would be searching for a supplier from scratch just the same.

It might be worth looking into ordering bulk internationally, or some similar situation.

Hope this helps, and happy sparking!

Hi kenarton.

You’re looking for a 4 pin JST-SH connector. Digi-Key has them under Digi-Key part number [455-1804-1-ND and the manufacturer part number is SM04B-SRSS-TB(LF)(SN). If you search for the manufacturers part number you should be able to locate them at a distributor in the UK.

The plug that mates with the connector can also be found at Digi-Key under part number [455-1379-ND and manufacturer part number SHR-04V-S-B.

The crimp pins that fit into the plug are Digi-Key part number [455-2963-1-ND and manufacturer part number SSH-003T-P0.2-H.

The JST data sheet can be found at the link below.

    Hi TS_Chris,

Your reply is just what I’m looking for – supplier with part numbers and manufacturer part numbers,

and I have used Digi-Key in the past.

It’s late here now, so I’ll follow this up in the morning.

Many thanks for your help. Ken.
