Questions about receivers.

Hi everybody:

I have been checking ther offers sparkfun have in GNSS, which by the way im tempted to buy. I just have a few questions, that hopefully you can help me to answer.

1.-Can the Base be acting as a “base” with just a normal survey in of 60 seconds or with known coordinates , be providing corrections to the rover and at the same time be logging Raw data that can be later converted to Rinex?

2.-Can the “Rover” be Receiving corrections, be acting in RTK mode and at the same time logging Raw Data?

Im asking this, because even tho RTK is good, theres another aproach called Fast PPK, in which both receivers are seeing tha same satellites, and therefore if you know the base coordinates you can correct the rover, this is useful when you want to check the accuracy of ur survey in RTK mode, because sometimes you can get a False Fix.

I have ths doubts, because in the manual, in order to log Raw Datta sparkfun recommends enabling RAWX and SFRBX by reseting Logging Defaults (NMEAx5 + RXMx2) and i dont know is this affects that unit acting as a rover.

Hopefully you can undestand my Question, sorry for my bad English is not my native language.

Thanx.

Yes, any of our RTK products can log RAWX and SFRBX at the same time the device is in Rover or Base mode.

So it is ok to have reseted logging defaults and be woking as a Rover? no problem? Thanks again.

By default, the RTK device only logs NMEA sentences but with a few steps, RAWX and SFRBX can be enabled: https://docs.sparkfun.com/SparkFun_RTK_ … eax5-rxmx2

Logging works in either Rover or Base state.
