RTK base station with GPS rover

Hello,

I am working on a set up to monitor gps location within a 200 foot radius from the base station. I am looking at an RTK gps setup like the sparkfun RTK: (https://www.sparkfun.com/products/16481). My plan is to record the GPS location of the rover for mapping. If the base station is an RTK gps, does the rover also need to be RTK? I was hoping to use a regular gps for the rover. I would feed the NMEA data from the gps rover to the RTK base station for corrections. I have not found a definitive answer that this would or wouldn’t work. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

I think you need RTK on both the base and rover for you to get the precision RTK enables.
