Quiik Alphanumeric Display (COM-16918)

Hello

There are 2 quiik ports on this display.

Which one is IN and which one is OUT?

Thanks.

Does not matter, they are parellel I2C/Qwiic interfaces

Thanks. This makes daisy-chaining with 50mm cables much easier.

IN is for input, OUT for chaining, are you connecting multiple displays?

Huh? You did not understand the question.

Sorry about that, you’re right, I misunderstood your post. Thanks for pointing it out.

Here is the hook up guide. SparkFun Qwiic Alphanumeric Display Hookup Guide - SparkFun Learn This will help.

That is where I looked for the answer. Where does it show In and OUT designations?

As has been stated before, there is NO “in” or “out” connector, both connectors can do in or out, it doesn’t matter.

What DOES matter is that each board connected has it’s own unique I2C address.

Hi @MartyK ,

Please ignore the posts by @dilshana and @olivia_49 . They are both using AI to generate their posts.

Best wishes,

Hi Paul,

I wrote it according to my knowledge and thinking, but thank you anyway.

No. I just looked for the hookup guide given in your website and posted here.

But their question was about which qwiic port is IN vs OUT…neither are either, linking to the hookup guide doesn’t help anything - letting the user know that they are interchangeable is crucial here (which 2 folks above did).

Make sure responses are actually germane to what the user/post is asking; posting consistently irrelevant/distracting info is a no-no
