Raspberry Pi Zero Wifi

Hello,

The Pi Zero W has one micro SD slot pre-installed.

I would like to solder on an additional micro SD slot but am not sure where to get started.

  • Which microSD breakout would I need?

  • Which wires would I need?

  • Which GPIO pins would I need to use during soldering?

Regards,

Dan

Hi Dan.

The easiest way to do this would be to just add a USB microSD card reader to the USB port on the Pi. It’s quick, doesn’t require any soldering or changes to the operating system on the Pi.

I did find a video that might be helpful to you if you want to go the GPIO route. Our [SparkFun microSD Transflash Breakout should work with that method. The video is in the link below.
