Razor IMU USB Serial Port doesn't show up

I just got a new Razor IMU. I think when I plug it into my computer I should see a USB serial port show up, but I don’t see anything. I’m on macOS Catalina, have the FTDI drivers installed, using a USB cable I know isn’t broken. The blue LED on the Razor blinks after it’s been plugged in.

I don’t see any ports show up in /dev/tty.* or even anything in ioreg when I plug in the Razor. Confirmed that I can get a FT232 to work fine.

Is there a driver I need to install? Anything I need to get to get the Razor to work out of the box as is described in the hookup guide?

While the cable may not be broken, there are some cables that do just power and not data. Can you confirm by switching with another cable or using the specific cable with another product?

:roll: I tried two cables just for that reason but I guess they were both power only. Thanks for the help, that was it!

No worries, I know I’ve spent hours pouring over a board just to find the cable is the culprit.
