RFID Reader ID-3LA EM4305 vs EM4100

Hey there,

I will be using the RFID Reader ID-3LA (125 kHz).

The RFID tags that I would like to use are 125KHz, EM4305. I’ve done some research regarding the difference between EM4305 and EM4100 but was not able to come up with a clear answer whether the reader would be able to read EM4305 based off the research.

Any help would be great!

Hello etrop320!

The [datasheet only indicates “EM 4001 or compatible” and I don’t have a EM4305 to test with. My only advice would be to give it a try, but I don’t think a EM4305 card will work with this reader.](https://cdn.sparkfun.com/datasheets/Sensors/ID/ID-3LA.pdf)
