Is it possible that RN-XV WiFly Module can be directly connected to Android Phones HotSpot?
we just really need this for our thesis.
Thank you.

I have never tried joining an Android generated hotspot, but technically it should work (should, not necessarily will)
However, I would strongly suggest you make sure you are running the current version of the WiFly firmware, which I believe is currently 4.41
My Andriod phone’s hot spot emulates an ordinary WiFi Router which is a router with NAT plus an access point all in one.
So the associating device shouldn’t discern the difference.
The WiFi 802.11 ad-hoc mode is not used in this - and I recall that RN does not support ad-hoc mode.
Thanks for your reply.
I am now currently running my RN-XV 171 Module as an access point and I already connected my android phone to it. My next thing to do is how to send sensor data to my android phone. BTW, I am using RN-XV 171 with Arduino Nano and a UV Sensor with it. Thanks.
