I’ve a Roving Networks wifly RN-131C ver 2.21 and when turned on reboots from time to time and prints ERR WATCHDOG. A typical session:
WiFly Ver 2.21, 07-11-2010
MAC Addr=00:06:66:13:cc:35
Auto-Assoc roving1 chan=0 mode=NONE FAILED
READY
ERR WATCHDOGWiFly Ver 2.21, 07-11-2010
MAC Addr=00:06:66:13:cc:35
Auto-Assoc roving1 chan=0 mode=NONE FAILED
READY
ERR WATCHDOGWiFly Ver 2.21, 07-11-2010
MAC Addr=00:06:66:13:cc:35
Auto-Assoc roving1 chan=0 mode=NONE FAILED
READY
ERR WATCHDOGCMD
<2.21>
When I try to upgrade I get:
<2.21> get dns backup
DNS=87.216.1.65
Name=server1
Backup=backup2
<2.21> get ftp address
FTP=208.109.78.34:21
File=wifly-GSX.img
User=roving
Pass=Pass123
<2.21> ftp update
<2.21> FTP connecting to 208.109.78.34
FTP timeout=2
If I change to rn.microchip.com server:
<2.21> set ftp address 198.175.253.161
AOK
<2.21> get ftp address
FTP=198.175.253.161:21
File=wifly-GSX.img
User=roving
Pass=Pass123
<2.21> ftp update
<2.21> FTP connecting to 198.175.253.161
FTP timeout=8
That is, I cannot upgrade and don’t know how to get rid of rebooting and ERR WATCHDOG messages. Any ideas?
