RTC Module - RV-1805 stops after couple of days continues work

Hello,

We purchased 3 units of RTC module RV-1805. They were working fine during testing. When putting 2 of them to extended work where they are sending a signal every hour on the interrupt pins, we found that both stopped after less than a couple days ! We tried to program them but they gave us “RTC failed to update” message !

Is there any hard reset for this timer or they went bad ? It’s unlikely that both of them go bad following the same behavior.

We programmed them using example1 to set time then example4 to set the interrupt signal every hour. Then we connect the power, ground and interrupt pin to Arduino Mega 3.3V, ground, and pin19(Interrupt). They triggered the Arduino every hour then they stopped as mentioned before.

Hi Ahmed.

If you try our example code on the failed units, to they start to work again or do you get another error?
