RTK Facet rover - height offset for survey pole

I just ordered an RTK facet and I’m excited to put it to use! Initially, I’ll only use one and my cellphone as an RTK rover, but eventually I’ll buy a second one for use as a rover receiving RTK updates from the base. But when using a unit as a rover, if I’m using it to mark a point on the ground, how would I go about establishing a height offset? Is that something I would do in software based on the measurement of the pole? Or is that a setting that can be changed in the unit?

Thank you!

The height offset is something entered into the GIS software you are using.

Specifically things called ‘Instrument height’. In the example below, the surveyor stick holding the Facet off the ground is 2m tall (the most common stick length) but you can set it to any height off the ground your sensor may be.
