-What sort of plastic is the SEN-11050 case/sheath and cable jacket?
-Could it be custom-made using material specified by the buyer? If so, what volume would be required to implement such customization?

Looks like some kind of PVC to me; send an email to the MFR https://www.analog.com/en/index.html and see what they say

Got it and I will do it. I was in the belief that Sparkfun was the manufacturer, thank you for your reply.
Sure thing - just be sure to use their product number (DS18B20) instead of ours so they know what you’re talking about

Well, what I want/need to know is the material composition that Sparkfun uses for the case that covers the DS18B20 and for the jacket of the cable used to build the assembly, essentially, I want to know the compatibility with different fluids, specifically, mineral oil. I don’t care the material of the DS18B20 because that component is not in direct contact with the fluid.
Could you share such material composition? Thank you.
We do not manufacture the product…they do. Reference the part # given and ask them.
Again, I’m not talking about the DS18B20 but the SEN-11050 which contains the DS18B20 inside. So, can you confirm that Analog Devices make the SEN-11050 for Sparkfun (NOT the IC DS18B20)? If so, I will ask them for the material composition used for the cover (sheath/case) and cable jacket. Thank you.
Was an answer ever found? I have the same question, because I would like to use the sensor in a potable water storage tank, but do not want to risk leaching any chemicals. Checking the manufacturer information provided by SFE did not yield any results - Analog does not appear to manufacture the cable assemblies, just the silicon. Thank you!
We purchase the assembled cables from Analog.
