Serial Jtag Adapter and AVR Studio (4.12.462) fails

Hi,

I have installed the AVR Studio (4.12.462 Service Pack 1) and I can’t get it running with the serial JTAGICE and a AtMega16 Device.

The AVR Studio tells me that there is an old Jtag Firmware.

The Update (upgrade.ebn) via the avrprog tool doesn’t work, there I get the errormessage : No supported Board. Avrprog Version 1.40.

If I use the the jtagice.exe for programming, everything is fine.

Is there a possibility to load the upgrade.ebn via the the jtagice.exe ?

I had no problems with the AVR Stuido 4.11 before.

Did the AVR Studio automatic firmware upgrade fail?

See JTAG ICE Manual Firmware Upgrade (from AVR Studio, select Help, AVR Tools User Guide). You need to power on the JTAG ICE with no target connected.
