i have a avrjtag bouhgt before 1.1.2004 how can i upgrade this for an automatic update by avrstudio

Just received my AVR-JTAG cable. When I ran the AVR STUDIO software, i accidently upgraded the AVR-JTAG firmware. My AVR-JTAG is now no longer detected :oops: . I followed the upgrade link from sparky and using my AVRISP to restore the bootloader for the AVR-JTAG. Compare the configuration and security bits option of the PonyProg2000 with CKSEL0-3 are unchecked, I chose the external clock option on the AVR studio, and click on program button. My AVR-JTAG is now failed to communicate with the AVR Studio program 
. Does anyone have a solution for this? I hope this is something that can be repairable. Thanks in advance.
You misunderstud my question:
You have 2 Versions of your jtagice: one which could automatically updated by avrstudio und the olderone which only could updated ‘by tutorial’.
My question was whats to do to make an ‘new’ jtagice from an old jtagice.

My AVR-JTAG firmware is corrupted. Do you do upgrade or repair in USA?
