So I just saw the mention of this new GPS device on SFE’s front page. Maybe I’m misunderstanding something, but isn’t it just outputting pseudoranges and carrier phase information? Or is it doing something else? A little confused here.
It looks like it’s outputting raw digitized IF data, which you need to analyze using an SDR running on the host computer in order to compute pseudoranges and so on.
Yup… but from what we’ve seen / heard, you can get insane precision with these, far above what can be normally got from a standard GPS.
