SMA and rev. SMA connectors on Spark Fun site

The SMA and reverse SMA connectors on the site are a good deal, but in order to use them as board edge connectors for .062 board, you will need to file the center pin slightly, in order to allow it to fit the board properly. I work as a jeweler, so I just used a miniature abrasive cut off wheel to do the job.Use the outer pins as a guide to keep the cut flat. A small nail file would work just as well, and save you at least a couple of bucks a piece over other places.

Perfect recommendation Ron!

You’re right, they should have been end-launch SMAs, but the signal pin got spec’d to the wrong position. That’s what we get for not doing samples before production runs. But have I learned my lesson? Not really

We advertise these SMA/RPSMA as ‘vertical’ because of this problem. They work either way with a little fanagaling (sp?). But that’s why they’re discounted.

We’ve got the real end-launch SMA/RPSMAs in. I should really list them…
