Today I finished all the examples in the Sparkfun SIK Guide.

The SIK Guide Circuit #16 Simon Says diagram on page 84 appears to have an error.

It shows a picture of the Simon Says game sold by SparkFun, but something seems to be missing.

It looks like the picture of the game is missing one of the AA batteries needed to power the device.

I wanted to confirm this if true.

The picture is missing a AA battery? If all that you are posting is the only thing Sparkfun has to worry about, then good job Sparkfun!

The diagram shown is the Surface Mount Simon Kit - https://www.sparkfun.com/products/10935. It only has one battery.

There are two versions of the Simon Says game. The old set came with 2 batteries and had old-style IC. The new set has only one battery and has an SMD IC.
