SparkFun Inventor's Kit V3.2

I bought a this kit for our son many years ago but he wasn’t quite ready to do it. Now he is. We are using Windows 10. Is it compatible or do we need a new kit? When he tries to verify, he gets an Error compiling for board Arduino Uno.

There were sketches that were written for older versions of Arduino. Most incompatibilities are due to component changes between kit versions, but some sketches in the new kit should work with older kits. You’ll have to troubleshoot as you go along. Use the following to help you along the way:

I just saw this forum post.

To add on to Brandon’s post, the RedBoard and Arduino Uno are compatible with Windows 10. There is an online tutorial as well for the [SIK v3.2 but you would need to do a search for it. The components in the kit are different than the ones in SIK v4.2. If he has the components (motor driver, motors/wheel, ultrasonic sensor, binder clip, velcro, and battery pack), he can also follow along with the v3.2 and v4.2. While the examples were written on the older Arduino IDE version, they should still work with the latest Arduino IDE.

Personally, I still reference the circuits and code from SIK v3.2. =)](https://learn.sparkfun.com/tutorials/sik-experiment-guide-for-arduino---v32)
