SparkFun Power Delivery Board not producing output current

Issue: cant get output current

Details: Profiles set correctly (15vdc @3amps or 20vdc @3amps)

As soon as I hook it up to anything that would use that power the board cuts output power, either zero vdc or 6vdc (using 20vdc profile).

I will hook this up to a 65watt USB PD charger, the correct profile will be accepted, hook it to a batter charger circuit, then watch as the voltage disappears and it never supply current. I can even hook it up to a usb output device and it supplies little to no output current. (0.1 range).

Even hooking it up to a battery to try and test if it can supply any charging current (albeit no protections) and it killed it.

So im having trouble understanding what this device is for and why it cant pass through the PD currents from the agreed profiles. I wanted to use this to add USB C charging to a GoalZero Yeti150 to charge the built in battery. This Sparkfun board wouldve provided just the voltage and current and the yeti device would’ve took care of the smarts of the charging circuit.

Which PDO is being used ‘1st’ (15v or 20v)? It should be 20v set to PDO3, then 15v set to PDO2, etc…it also might help to increase the upper and lower limits (%)

Yes, PD03 is 20v@3 amps like mentioned. The profile will successfully negotiate and output correct voltage. Just cant use it with a load.

FlexCurrent also set to 1

Just got new boards in and programmed them, wired it up to a solar charge controller (just into the “battery” input, no solar or load connected [Unit pulls only 0.03amps with nothing connected at 12v]), and plugged in a 65watt charger, PD02 *15v @3Amps" hand shook, then the board died…

What is going on? Why do these units not work as advertised?
