SparkFun XM125 stopped responding

I recently acquired a SparkFun XM125 board for a work project to evaluate the Acconeer A121 sensor.

The device worked properly for the first few days. I managed to visualize data in real time within the Acconeer Exploration Tool by connecting it directly to my computer using a USB-C cable.

However, after only four uses, the board simply stopped working. The COM port still appears when plugged into my PC, and the power LED turns on, but I can no longer receive data nor flash the module. The Exploration Tool gives me a timeout on the serial connection. I have already tried using a different cable and a different USB port on my computer.

I cannot see any visible damage on the board, and I did not change the power supply or the connector used to acquire data. I cannot think of any event that might have damaged it.

Thinking the issue might be related to the USB connection, I tried bypassing it by connecting the board to a Raspberry Pi via the TX and RX pins. Unfortunately, I did not manage to receive any data this way either.

Could you please guide me through a testing procedure to determine whether this board can still be used or if it is defective?

Thanks in advance for your help

Make sure the ‘auto-select baud rate’ is not enabled; set it to 115200 manually

We have a few steps in the guide to try here that might help, let me know how it goes
