SRAM parts and LPC

I’m designing my own board to run uclinux on (LPC based), and was just wondering if anyone here has any experience with good sram parts (not BGA since I want to use batchpcb to make my board)? Specifically, I was hoping to find a eagle library as well as supplier that can source single quantities? Seems that everyone I’ve looked at wants to sell only high quantities, and I’m just trying to do this for my own learning.

Thanks in advance,

Jeremy

Did you have a look at Ulrich Radig Webpage? http://www.ulrichradig.de/

He has a design with the LPC2294 and SRAM.

However in my opinion, you should wait for the LPC2468, to be released soon. It has SDRAM Interface, making things much cheaper.

Happy new year!

The lpc22xx parts are simpler to learn IMHO. At least the SRAM interfacing is simpler.

Look for cypress async sram parts on digikey. They’re expensive but quite simple to implement, fast enough and the form factor tsop works well.

You can also look for toshiba nor flash parts. I have the chips but dont yet have the time to assemble a board. Also impatiently waiting for the lpc22xx boards from Olimex (with more than 1MB ram) to use as a reference.
