Switdching mains lights with VO2223

Hi!

I am currently designing a Buetooth LE light switch. Nothing too complicated and I already have most of the things designed from my other projects.

What is missing is a way to actually switch the lights. I have quite a lot of experience with different low voltage projects but not as much when it comes to mains powered devices so I am feeling a bit lost.

I was thinking about using realys or solid state relays since they are quite simple. But then somebody suggested that I should use a VO2223 power phototriac instead.

Question for eveyone here is quite simple - Do I need anything else? Besides a simple resistor at the LED input? Anything on the actual mains side? Resistors, caps?

Also something else that is a bit unclear to me - How much power can these things actually switch? I was thinking about driving a simple fluorescent light. So we have about 100W of power @ 230V AC. If I understand the datasdheet correctly than everything should be more than fine. But I just want to double check.
