Hi Everybody, I am going to buy a Telit GM862 cellphone modem, but I wanted to ask what kind of hardware do you need to have on the “land-line” to make it work? Do I have to buy the GM862 in pairs? Thanks
Think of the GM862 as a cell phone with no display - so you can make voice calls, send text messages, and connect to the internet via GPRS. However, because it doesn’t have a display or keyboard, you do need something (microprocessor, your laptop, etc) to control it via the serial port using AT commands.
