Thermocouple Type-K Glass Braid question

Hi all,

Happy new year! I’ve started this year with a major case of brain farts. Think think think…

I just purchased some of the Thermocouple Type-K Glass Braid temp thingies

So I’m looking at this braid of magical temperature sensing goodness, and wondering, :? , So this end goes to the booster, cool, so what about the other end? Is the braid the complete sensor, or am I missing something?!

The other end of the thermocouple [the one without the wires sticking out of it] is the sensor.

Thermocouples work by the joint between two dissimilar metals - which are the two wires insulated inside the braid - and are joined at the end.
