Tsunami (Qwiic) audio initialization error

I’ve got a fresh Qwiic Tsunami (WIG-18159), untouched and unused except for a couple of pin headers soldered on, which upon startup/reset is giving me the red blinking light indicating an audio hardware intialization error, per the hookup guide.

The SD card reader seems to be working fine (status LED indicates as much) and I can successfully flash new firmware onto the device, but I’m still getting the same error after updating. I’ve tried the SD card in another Qwiic Tsunami and that one has no issues. Have also tried powering the device through both the power pins and the USB-C connector, with the same result.

Can’t seem to find any further info about how to troubleshoot this particular error, so just wondering if there’s anything else I can check or do on the bench that might help resolve this, cheers!

I assume you already used these, but just to be sure http://robertsonics.com/tsunami-downloads/ the qwiic version of the firmware is required

If that was already used, it sound like the board may be DoA; head over to www.sparkfun.com/returns for a replacement if purchased from us, or contact the distributor if purchased elsewhere
