um-96 working but....

Hi, i did it work fine with one um96 connected to a pic 18f4620 and another conneted to the pc, the pc always received the data wherever the pic was.

Now i’m trying to comunicate pic to pic by the um96’s, it means one as a receiver and another as a transmiter… the receiver has a lcd where i wrote the received data.

Well some times i get the data but missing some parts of it or i receive garbage… i’m using these configuration…

CBA = 111,

COM1 (TTL),

E = 0,

And the pic has a 4Mhz crystal…

What do you recommend me to do??? What could be happend??..

Check your baud rate and make sure its the same on both PCI’s. Also, do you have the second pic connected to the TTL level or rs-232 level?

You might also try removing the um96’s and just sticking in a wire.
