I have updated to the latest firmware, tried two SD cards (both 32GB, fat32), and never see any files created by the device.
Is there a way to test the SD slot is working and registering the SD card?
Thanks

Please open the system menu (https://docs.sparkfun.com/SparkFun_RTK_ … em_status/) and post your output here. A FAT32 formatted card should work fine and the system menu will report it as online. See attached image:
"SD init failed. Is card present? Formatted?
microSD card not online!"
This is the response I get. Tried two 32gb cards and one 16gb. Perhaps an issue with this unit?
All formatted FAT32
Thanks
Agreed. My apologies for the hassle. Please fill out a return form and we’ll get it fixed quickly: https://www.sparkfun.com/returns
Thats not possible (the unit was purchased in the USA but is now overseas). I’ll take it apart and see if it’s a soldering issue.
Thanks for your help
Excellent - glad to hear you’re comfortable opening it up. If there’s anything I can help with. Let me know.
I suspect the FPC cable between the display board (that contains the SD socket) and the main board may need re-seating. Go slow. The connectors are ‘back-flip’. A finger nail at the back of the connector should be all you need to release the FPC cable.
