USB driver issue

As my user name suggests, I no just about nothing about ARM, so bear with me:

I recently got a at91sam7-p256 board and I am trying to get SAM-BA to recognize it through my normal USB cable. However, windows xp seems to detect it as an at91 hid keyboard instead of the board, and it is not using the atm6124.sys driver. I tried setting the TST pin jumper and powering off and on, but that didn’t help. Uninstalling the driver and replugging in also doesn’t change it. Is there something really simple that I’m missing here?

I was told to do a hardware erase, but I don’t see an ERASE jumper on the board. Anyone know how to do that?
