USBdriver for AT91SAM7S256-clone?

Hello out there,

is this the right forum for this question?

I am trying to load my AT91SAM7S256-clone-board with SAMBA via USB. With OpenOCD and Olimex ARM-USB-OCD I can load both RAM and Flash.

USB is not working as the driver seems to be nonexistent… My Win2000 tells me no driver is installed, been trying to instal a driver but Win2000 do not accept my suggestions! So where can I get a .inf and .sys file for the board? Must I buy a original board and use the DVD delivered with it?

Hope someone has a suggestion for solving this…

Best regards

Nils

I think the drivers for the SAM-BA USB are in the AT91-ISP package:

I have been reinstalling the Atmel ISP-package twice, still problem with USB. AT91SAM7X256 board is no problem, USB functioning fine with same SAMBA.

I have also problem with serial ISP but JTAG works fine! (But I need serial and/or USB for the radio amateurs who is going to build our kit, they will want to update software without JTAG hardware!) For serial try I checked with a logic analyzer on the CPU’s pins, so the MAX232 is not the culprit. Any idea what i should check?

If the AT91SAM7S256 is an Olimex board before rev. E then SAMBA USB does not work.

It needs an 18.432 MHz crystal and USB pullup on pin PIOA16. Serial SAMBA works on my old AT91SAM7S64 board if SAMBA is loaded with the strange poweron sequence and the TXD0/DTX0 RXD0/DRX0 set for debug port.

USB works on the card with user supplied code but the SAMBA USB settings does work.

My USB is not recognized eventhough it has a 18.432 Hz crystal on it.

I have installed the AT91-ISP package.

Thank you,

Janet

Oh, itz 18.432 MHz crystal.

My HJTAG server does not detect my AT91SAM7S256 board from Olimex.

According to the updated schematic PIAO16 does go to PUP-Pull up resistor.
