Get the spark wave pro trigger. Hooked up audio output have it powered up lights are blinking correctly. When I use the trigger , no sound is coming out. Have downloaded the percussion example and c s v file. Installed on the micro card. Can someone direct me to where I can get help?

Two things you can do:
-
Make sure you have a valid wave file named for track 1. Remove any preset file on the microSD card and reset. When there is no preset, the default maps the triggers to the corresponding tracks 1 through 8. Trigger 1 should now play track 1. If you don’t hear audio, what does the LED do when you trigger?

If you hook up a USB-to-Serial adapter (like an FTDI-Basic) to the serial connectors, then you can use the Arduino Serial Monitor to get status, check tracks and easily control things. It’s a great way to troubleshoot. See the corresponding section in the User Guide.
L e d stays the same when the trigger is used. I’m going to clear the s d card and start from there again. After I reset a clean s d I will have to have one wave on there ,right ? for sound?
Just figured it out. I just deleted the c s v file that came with the percussion example , and loaded in the preset example csv download file.
So now there’s no velocity. Do I need to download another cvs preset file? Each trigger is only playing the minimum velocity. Is there a example preset from a sheets file that can be downloaded and used , or do I need to make my own?
I guess that’s c s v files. Sorry for confusing.
Looks like things like changing presets have to be done with a keyboard. Where can I get more info on using it? The c s v file is very confusing. Not very straightforward for a trigger interface. It sounds like it should be simple , like trigger one velocity ,
1 to 1 hundred and twenty seven. And playing the relative waves. But the maps on The c s v example don’t show anything like trigger one velocity, sensitivity. Accept the note 59 and 60 thing.
Not explaining anything how to change presets.
GUIDE ME TO YOUR TUTORIAL
Don’t see any way to assign a channel or note number to trigger one. That should be really easy.
The board must not be reading the card. All the changes I made in the c.S v , and none of it made a difference. And if I leave the c s v out completely , it still does exactly the same thing. Only playing the number one wave at a certain velocity. I got the card from you guys.@ sparkfun
If it’s playing a file, it must be reading the card. You might have a read through the Robersonics guide and the Sparkfun hookup guide. The Robertsonics guide explains the CSV file format.
Please review the User Manual page, Triggers and the Default Preset, and as well as the section on Minimum and Maximum Velocity Gain fields on the MIDI and Presets page. Note the comment: Tip: To force a note to be at a specific volume regardless of MIDI Velocity, set Min and Max Velocity Gain to the same value. For full volume, set them both to 0 dB.
Use Google Sheets to edit the preset and then download to a csv. I don’t have any experience using other spreadsheet apps such as Excel.
Finally, keep in mind that the preset treats the triggers as if they were MIDI Notes number 1 - 8. Triggers have no velocity. If you do nothing (the default preset) then the triggers will play the sound at 0dB, or full volume. To play at a different volume you need to add an entry for the corresponding MIDI Note number using the above tip to set the gain.
HeyThanks for your help. I did read all that stuff yesterday and the day before.\nBut I looked over it again today. I’ll show you a picture of the most recent thing I tried. As you can see , I changed the note fifty nine example of the one through 8 tracks to note 1.
And changed the track numbers to the snare samples.
And maximum velocity gain as high as it will go for each channel.
This made no difference.I only get the first sample on the whole deal. And the sample is still the first one on channel one. Unless I change pins.
I never have used sheets before or any other. So I got a lot of questions like, how do you know which line is always for programming certain channels? And commands and things like that. Can you just start writing anywhere you feel like it? Do you always have to include that block of one through seven commands et cetera?
Also I would like to know if you have to use some kind of hardware to change presets on\nThe fly. Do I need to make a button for it? I wanna be able to change presets while i’m using the unit. Without a midi keyboard.
Kind of looks like anything you put on.The page is mute , except when you start with the command of note. Is that correct?
I guess I should’ve said not reading the c s v.
Are you guys done helping me? Where Do I go for technical support?
