Hello. I have 2 brand new WAV Trigger boards and I cant make them play the sound from the SD card when pressing the embeded button for track 1. Since both are refusing and showing the same behaviour, seems I am doing something wrong…
The SD Card is 1GB as purchased from you, I put there few tracks, with names according to the rule. 001_… , 002_… etc
fat 32 formatted. I use headphones from smartphone to monitor the card output.
When I power the card (6/12v tries) the indicator blinks fast for a second, than it goes into blinking once per/1-2 seconds. While pressing the embeded button doesnt result into blinking, nor to hearing 001_piano.wav (I saw in some videos when pressing the trigger, the indicator responds). I vaguelly guess it might not recognising the SD card, however the SD Card is purchased from you and I guess should be compatible.
Can you help me with the problem?
Have you gone through the hookup guide step by step?
I have gone through some tutorials, but if you have something specific in mind, can you please link it?
if you mean this one, yes
https://learn.sparkfun.com/tutorials/wa … 1656626429
I also have the apps
WT-Flasher_100_20140111,
WT-InitMaker_100_20140102
WT-Remote_020_20140112
but havent used them , I suppose the cards as they arrived have working firmware … I try to perform the most simple routine, play sound , while pressing the embeded button.- and it fails.
Did you try using the sample wav files included in the hookup guide?
Hi, working with the samples wav indeed solved the issue! Thank you, I was getting desparate. What are the WAV specs that are recognised?
From [the guide:
If you’ve gotten this far and tracks won’t play, then it’s most likely that your WAV files are not the correct format. The WAV Trigger will only play WAV files formatted as 16-bit, stereo, 44.1kHz, and there can be no meta-data (non-audio data) in the file before the audio data. It seems that many Mac audio applications insert a meta-data chunk prior to the audio, and this will prevent the track from playing.
Check the guide linked above, it has information on how to correct non conforming WAV files.](http://robertsonics.com/wav-trigger-online-user-guide/)
