My goal is to use a wav trigger to replace a 8 track player in a arcade game. I am wanting to create a plug and play solution so no modifications will be required to the arcade game.
The plan is to create a interface board between the arcade game and the wav trigger. The wav trigger will connect to the interface board via header pins.
The arcade game uses 110vac on a 2 pin connector and also has a 9 pin female edge connector.
The 110vac will be turned into 5vdc by a board mount power supply (myrra 47122) I am using this reduce board complexity and also for added safety.
The signals for the different tracks are 16vdc.
My original thought was to use relays but a friend suggested optocouplers. This will be my first project using optocouplers.
This is my rough thought process please let me know what I am missing.
