What prompted the Redstick to retire?

Hello!

I confess I’m not comfortable working with anything which makes use of the Arduino methods of operation. The bulk of my work is on the Pi and the BASIC Stamp.

That being said, I needed to track down the Redstick in the stores I use, and conversely back here for ideas on how to get them working. I was most surprised to see that board show up in the retired items category.

Micro Center is selling them at a deep discount, with quantities limited those on hand I think.

Looks like one of the parts needed to build these went EOL and sales on the Redstick were not enough to justify redesigning the board. :frowning:

Excellent reason. Which one was it?
