Can the

Wheel Encoder Kit

be used with the

Multi-Chassis - 4WD Kit

https://www.sparkfun.com/products/12089

?

The motor gearboxes are different than the redbot’s, so I want to be sure.

so… I realized after posting that the encoder get’s mounted on the back of the motor. So I guess it’s more a question of fitting in the multi-chassis casing?

It doesn’t look like the motors used in the multi-chassis have a shaft on the rear, so the encoder wheel can’t be mounted there, You can still use the hall sensors from the encoder kit and epoxy some magnets into the wheels themselves to trigger them.
