I am looking for a GPS to put on a car. I would like to have the accuracy that RTK allows for, but I don’t want the complexity of having a base station and rover. My question is whether there is a module that does not require me to set up a base station or connect it to the internet for correction data? Thanks.
Yup! L-Band corrections are what you want.
Ah… I was hoping for something in the ~$300 range like some of the other rtk modules, but I suppose that doesn’t exist. Would one of these ~$300 boards like the ZED-F9P based ones have better accuracy without correction data than a cheaper non-rtk one?
Thanks for your replies.
Any ZED based board is an L1/L2 dual freq receiver which will have significantly better accurracy off the shelf than the lower cost L1 only receivers. I regularly see 0.3m accuracy with ~0.2m on good days.
