Windows does not recognize ARM-USB-OCD

Hi,

I’m going to start this by stating that I am a hardware engineer who is trying (struggling?) to acquire some embedded software development skills. I purchased an OLIMEX ARM-USB-OCD; the hardware I want to use it with won’t be ready for a month or so. I loaded the Olimex’s ARM GCC for Windows Dummies that came with it but when I plug the probe in I get “USB Device Not Recognized one of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned… “ From windows.

I don’t get the typical USB device connected beep and I don’t get a request to install drivers for the device. Does anybody have any suggestions?

I just ordered the Prototyping Board for LPC2148 from Spark Fun to give me something to practice with.

Thanks for any help,

Bill

fixed it - I had a flakey USB hub.
