Hello everybody. This is my first post here. But anyways, I have recieved 2 boards today (28 days after ordering… which is much better than the 41 and 38 days I’ve read on this forum), but there is one problem with this. I orded 1 board, and these two are not mine. They appear to belong to a Nicholas Dark. I assume this might be nrdark. So, Nick, if you’re reading this, I have your boards, and you probably have mine (Reflow Oven Controller Rev C, Chris Harwood). E-mail me if you live in the Cleveland area so we can at least this sorted out, if it’s quicker than sending it back and out again. I’ve been waiting rather impatiently for these past 28 days. Also, Nick, I hope my boards turned out as well as yours did. Very nice quality!! In general for batchpcb, I really appreciate this service, but kinks really need to be worked out. (Everyone, especially “Sparky” himself is probably sick of hearing this.)
Indeed - becuase of a pretty horrible glitch, your two orders were swapped. We’ve now associated the order to a given panel number as well as an order number to prevent any further mixups.
Sorry guys  The correct boards have been dispatched.

Sparky,
Thanks again for clearing that up as quickly as you guys did. I can’t wait to stuff my board and finish off the firmware.
Hi Chris,
Sorry to inform you that your boards still havn’t turned up here, as I mentioned to you by private message should they arrive here I will give them top priority and try and get them to you as quickly as possible.
Sparky do we know yet if Chris’s board even made it back from China?
ie. Should I be expecting it to arrive on my desk in work?
Btw sorry for takeing so long to reply I havn’t checked this board for a while.
As a quick note to others, it might be wise to get into the habbit (if you dont already) of includeing your name, screen name or whatever on your boards. I include mine as part of a copyright notice anyway, but it appears to have helped in this case. At the end of the day accidents happen regardless of how good your procedures are so dont feel too bad Sparky
Regards Nick
Nick,
I’m starting to doubt if they were ran the first time at all, but Sparky has already taken actions to have them re-run. Have you gotten your boards yet? If not they should be there this Friday (according to the post office).
Hmm screen name on board. Actually, I have my name (real name, I dont’ think anyone is actually named “Kuroi Kenjin” as it is Japanese for “Black Sage”), but I should put full contact info on there, just in case this happens again. Although, I have a good feeling Sparky has a fix for this sort of thing.
Anyways, I should be getting them around the 24? or so. If my board ever arrives, you could probably just keep it. The schematics and firmware will be posted on my website in subsequent weekend updates. It’s for a reflow oven for surface mount work. I only need 1 board since I only have 1 toaster oven carcass.
Anyways, thanks again for everyone’s help on this!
Chris

Good advice and thanks for the re-encouragement
We’ve got a report now to identify what boards have arrived. I’m also working on getting board images onto the invoices so that we will have less excuses to screw up

Hi Chris,
My boards arrived on my desk in work today. Thank you for your co-operation and also for enlightening me to the situation in the first place :).
As for you Sparky don’t worry just don’t let it happen again

Deal!
Well I just got an email about the status change of my board (yes, same one I ordered Jan 2nd). It seems to be in the panalized stage!?! I thought this was resubmitted Feb 6th, which means it would have been panalized and submitted to GP last week? I can only think of a few reasons for this:
-
My board status is lagging.
-
You’ve waited for the new board handling procedures to be in place.
-
You have a limited panel size, and the Lunar New Year catch-up was nasty.
-
The board was forgotten for a while.
Can you shed some light on this, please? I’ve been waiting for this board for 7 weeks now (since first order). Yes I am happy you guys are trying, and all, but this really isn’t working.
Nevermind… It’s on time. Either I don’t know what Panelized is, or it’s just a status lag. Anyways… I should finally get them next week. I’ll only have waited just over 8 weeks from initial order. sigh At least it looks like you guys have gotten everything to start working very smoothly…etc.
