XBee Shield Not Working

Hello,

I recently purchased the XBee Wireless Kit (https://www.sparkfun.com/products/15936 )and an extra USB Explorer board.

I was able to get the two XBees communicating just fine on the XCTU

software. However, once I hook up the End Point XBee to the XBee Shield,

and the shield to the Arduino Uno, I am not able to get them to

communicate. I’ve tried lots of things but right now I’m following the

guide on https://learn.sparkfun.com/tutorials/xb … okup-guide .

I’m thinking the shield itself may be at fault but I’d like some technical

help if possible.

There’s not really anything on the shield to fail that would cause you issues.

Double check your soldering and make sure the switch is set to DLINE and that your code is using software serial.

This sounds very similar to the issue I just posted about under the title “XBee shield TX/RX connections.” On my two shields, the XBee DOUT and DIN pins are not connected to any of the Arduino pins RX/TX or D2/D3, for either setting of the switch. (No solder joints are involved.)
