The unit arrived DOA. I tried to use the unit for the first time today, it does not receive any satellite signals. I can connect to it with U-Center and read/write config, no problem. I have two of these boards, the older one works, this newer one does not. I use the exact same antenna on both, and I use U-Center to copy the config from the old to the new, so everything else is identical. Please arrange an RMA and replace the unit.
I’m pretty sure you’ll have to open a case here for the RMA: https://portal.u-blox.com/s/contactsupport
@robrobinette - Thank you! Users helping users is always appreciated on the forum but I don’t think returning our breakout board to u-blox is the best first step.
@MarkWest - Sounds like you’ve either got a no-connected between the SMA connector and the PCB, or the FB1 inductor is not providing power to the antenna (see https://cdn.sparkfun.com/assets/2/7/e/2 … ematic.pdf). R33 may also be the culprit.
A failed connection like that is pretty rare. Feel free to post pictures and/or return it to us for inspection/replacement: https://www.sparkfun.com/returns
Sorry about that sparky, I forgot this is a Sparkfun forum, not u-blox.
