AVR Pocket Programmer Pinout Connector Orientation

I’m not sure which end is up with the 6 pin connector from the AVR Pocket Programmer cable.

I see a pinout just below here: https://learn.sparkfun.com/tutorials/po … d-overview

But the orientation is not indicated.

One side of my cable connector is flat, and the other side has an elevated tab. Which side is left, and which is right with respect to the diagram? The diagram in the link above unfortunately has both sides as flat.

Thanks

Thanks for the post kr777krks!

If you look at the connector, on the side that has the polarity ridge there should be a small arrow indicating where pin one is. That arrow indicates where pin one is on the connector and all the pins on that side of the connector are odd numbered pins.

The photo below should help.

If you have any more questions about the connector, just let us know.

Thanks! I also just found this pinout picture, which has the labels on each pin.
