I’m trying to send a board I made to batchpcb and it keeps failing on the 8mil traces rule. I’m confused though because it fails on the board itself. I removed everything from the design except the board itself and it still fails. It’s a funky shaped board we created to fit our enclosure. However, if we just use a regular default board shape and size it goes through ok for the rest of the design. So obviously its something with the board itself but we can’t figure out what.
you might want to email them. also, this belongs in the batchPCB section of the forum.
Hi!
Have you resolved this? If not, would you be willing to send me your eagle files to review; I looked at the gerbers and don’t think anythings wrong. I do have one suspicion though: it doesn’t look like the board definition has a point at the origin. I’ve seen trouble when this happens before; try moving your board so that the one of the corners is located on the origin before you generate your gerbers and try again. That’s just a guess though, so don’t be too disappointed if it doesn’t work out!
If you don’t want to send me your eagle files, just give batchPCB a shout and they can surely point you in the right direction.

I think the problem is that your board outline is in the GPL (top copper layer) instead of in the outline later. I ran into this with FreePCB which wants to put the board outline in all layers. The DRC bot choked until I removed it from all but the outline (silkscreen) layer.
